well in windows 7 aur Vista both include a built-in functionality in Disk Management to shrink and expand partitions. No more 3rd party utilities needed reeeh! .. hun aah ta pata huna... edha phir kita huna partition.

Duja tarika ah.. format and then select the partiton how much u need.. az the bootable OS CD has the option of formating & partitioning the hard drives.
But first recover/backup dvd banala....for that click Start, then All Programs...there u will find sony backup recovery,click it.. so If you have an HP Pavilion click Hewlett-Packard and then HP PC Recovery CD Creator. If not, try clicking PC Help & Tools, then HP CD Recovery CD-DVD Creator to start the program.
If you want to partition ur hard disk without losing or reinstalling..then goes for paragon hard disk manager,BUT be careful with these type softwares because a wrong process can buuuuurh urs hard disk lolz ... so use them carefully <FAQ/help of the app read it before using it> well dar na kuch nahi huna chill ; ) .
afte partiton do this---
first - disable "System restore"-Type system into the start menu search box, and pick the 4th item down, just labeled “System”. (or right-click the computer icon and choose properties) .. then uncheck the drive, click the “Turn System Restore Off” button.... his should not be done but just for a while do it now...after words enable ker dayi...
If needed Disable hibernation for a while in your power options \ advanced power options screen......
Then- Run Disk Cleanup--All Programs - Accessories - select System Tools-- in there u will find it..run it,,,
Now after all this defrag urs hard disk.. if u used paragon hard disk to do partition ,boot on defrag option select kerdaye..or use any other tool to defrag many r there but try this ---
Disk Defrag - Reclaim the Speed Of Your Disks .. defrag bhi ker daye bach optimise option bhi try maar... reboot.. again do the defrag..Ok... nOw

pata ne oh compatible hai k nahe vista nal, coz partion magic jithon downld kra othe kite v vista nal nahe likha hoya comptible, but somone suggested me to use partion magic software, ke a safe hai
