A fighting Indian women's hockey team suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat in their last round robin league encounter against South Korea ahead of the bronze medal clash between the two countries.
The Indians, who were placed in the third position on the table, slipped to the fourth spot after completing their league engagements and will now again lock horns again with third-placed Korea in a bronze medal play-off on Wednesday.

Manavjit Singh Sandhu and trap shooters Anwer Sultan and Mansher Singh earned India two medals. Manav, the World champion, won an individual silver medal, while the team, comprising the aforesaid trio, also finished second for a silver medal.
Anwer Sultan also entered the induvidual final but finished sixth.

India won silver in men's double trap team shooting event. The team comprising Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (centre), Ronjan Singh Sondhi and Vikram Bhatnagar scored a total of 409 points finish second behind China, who claimed the gold medal with 424 points at the Lusail Range.
Taipei took the bronze with a score of 397.

India's Manjeet Kaur crosses the finish line in the women's 4x400m relay at the Asian Games on Tuesday night. The quartet of Sati Geetha, Pinki Paramanik, K Chitra and Manjeet Kaur, running in lane 5, overcame a strong field to win the race and India's first gold medal in track and field.

she was tremendous in the race...when she took the baton from the previous runner, India was placed third, she ran magnificently, you can see the distance between her and the second placed...
